I'm not saying the original is bad, because it isn't, but the remake is certainly the definitive edition in my eyes. It added a little more showing how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up Umbrella and Spencer really were, again adding to the atmosphere of the game.

I also liked the addition of Lisa Trevor personally. As much as I loved the camp and piss poor voice overs from the original, it's much better without the cheese as it makes the atmosphere much more solid and creepy without the crappy lines. REmake was a remake done right in my opinion. I think the original PS1/PC RE was way better than the Gamecube remake we got the remaster of. I already hate all the other changes they made from the original, like Crimson Heads or the whole Lisa Trevor part and worst of all the changed cut-scenes and dialogue. Should be optional, because I don't find this fun at all, certainly not in RE1. Originally posted by Noctwinds:Well its now permanent for this version as long as you do 'Once again'. And it doesn't have stupid mechanics like Crimson Heads or One Dangerous Zombie (which I wouldn't mind as it's own mode, but making it non-optional after 2 playthroughs is just ridiculous). I actually really enjoyed the RE 2 remake, because while changing a lot, at it's core it still feels true to the original. I just don't like it in RE1, but I guess my biggest complaint is that it's just not what I want from a real RE1 remake/remaster, because I want the game to be how I originally enjoyed it. I actually don't mind the Tyrant in RE 2 or Nemesis in 3, both can at least be stunned/temporarily downed, also I think the different level design works better for them. I personally don't mind it as it gave me something to be afraid of again but I understand since not everyone likes the Tyrant system re2, 3 and 7 have. We encourage everyone reading this post to join us in striking on September 20th.Yes and I think that's bullcrap. The stories we tell reflect in part our belief that we are strongest when we act together, and that belief informs our decision to strike. We’re proud to present fictional worlds in which disaster is met with solidarity, with kindness, and with hope. In our work, we spend a lot of time thinking about global catastrophe, and about humanity’s response to such events. By striking, we hope to add our voices to the calls for immediate and effective climate action, and to encourage others to do the same.
